DBMS Data Integrity in Hindi – Entity & Referential Integrity

Data Integrity का मतलब है कि Database Management System (DBMS) में रखा गया data हमेशा सही (accurate) और पूरा (complete) होना चाहिए।
Database में कभी भी duplicate या गलत data नहीं होना चाहिए।
यानी data हमेशा consistent (सही और स्थिर) होना चाहिए ताकि data की हानि (loss) न हो और database पर भरोसा किया जा सके।

Simple शब्दों में कहें तो Data Integrity यह सुनिश्चित करती है कि database का data हमेशा सही, भरोसेमंद और उपयोग करने योग्य रहे।

Data Integrity क्या है? – DBMS Data Integrity in Hindi

Database Management System (DBMS) में Data Integrity का मतलब होता है – डेटा का सही (accurate) और पूरा (complete) होना।
यानि database में stored data न तो duplicate होना चाहिए और न ही गलत। अगर data हमेशा consistent रहता है तो उसे ही data integrity कहते हैं।

Example: अगर किसी student का roll number database में गलत या दो-दो बार entry हो जाए तो data integrity break हो जाएगी।

Data Integrity क्यों ज़रूरी है?

Data hamesha reliable (विश्वसनीय) रहता है।
गलत या duplicate entries से बचाव होता है।
Database secure और consistent रहता है।
Business या किसी भी system में सही decision लेने में मदद मिलती है।

Data Integrity के प्रकार

DBMS में data integrity मुख्य रूप से दो प्रकार की होती है –

1. Entity Integrity

Entity Integrity का rule यह है कि –

हर table में एक Primary Key होती है।
Primary Key हमेशा unique होती है और null (खाली) नहीं हो सकती।

Example:
अगर Student table में “Roll_No” primary key है, तो हर student का Roll_No अलग होगा और कोई Roll_No खाली नहीं छोड़ा जा सकता।

2. Referential Integrity

Referential Integrity का rule यह है कि –

किसी associated (जुड़े हुए) table में Foreign Key की value, दूसरे table की Primary Key से match करनी चाहिए।
इससे database के tables के बीच relation (संबंध) हमेशा सही रहता है।

Example:
अगर “Orders” table में Customer_ID foreign key है, तो उसकी value हमेशा “Customers” table की Primary Key (Customer_ID) से match करेगी।
अगर ऐसा नहीं हुआ तो referential integrity टूट जाएगी।

DBMS में Data Integrity बहुत ज़रूरी है क्योंकि यह database को हमेशा accurate, consistent और reliable बनाए रखती है।

Entity Integrity data को unique और सही रखती है।
Referential Integrity tables के बीच सही relation बनाए रखती है।
